Buffaloes

Aran is the top region by buffaloes in Azerbaijan. As of 2012, buffaloes in Aran was 169,809 heads that accounts for 66.42% of Azerbaijan's buffaloes. The top 5 regions (others are Shaki-Zagatala, Ganja-Gazakh, Dakhlik Shirvan, and Guba-Khachmaz) account for 93.69% of it. Azerbaijan's total buffaloes was estimated at 255,671 heads in 2012.
