In 2011, rural households having access to drinking water for Mizoram was 43.4 %. Between 1991 and 2011, rural households having access to drinking water of Mizoram grew substantially from 12.9 to 43.4 % rising at an increasing annual rate that reached a maximum of 84.50% in 2001 and then decreased to 82.35% in 2011.
