Altai Krai is the top region by arable land in Russian Federation. As of 2016, arable land in Altai Krai was 5,409.3 thousand hectares that accounts for 6.83% of Russian Federation's arable land. The top 5 regions (others are Rostov Region, Orenburg Region, Saratov Region, and Krasnodar Krai) account for 27.29% of it.
