Central Statistical Office of Zambia

The mission of the Central Statistical Office of Zambia (CSO) is to coordinate and provide timely, high-quality and credible official statistics for the use by stakeholders and clients for sustainable Development. The main goal of CSO is to develop an effective, efficient and coordinated National Statistical System (NSS) that will ensure sustainable production and disseminating of demand driven official statistics for national development. The Office produces a number of statistical products in the Economic, Social, Agricultural and Environmental areas. The information collected in these areas may be used for various purposes including policy formulation, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of programmes and projects.
