Social Insurance Institution Kela

The Social Insurance Institution (KELA) is responsible for the social security of Finns living in Finland and many Finns living abroad in various situations. Social security provided by Kela includes, for example, family allowances for children, health insurance, rehabilitation, basic unemployment benefit, housing allowance, basic income support, study allowance, disability benefits and minimum pensions.
