Federal Service for State Registration, Cadastre and Cartography, Russia

The Federal Registration Service (Rosregistratsiya) was formed during the administrative reform by the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation V.Putin on March 9, 2004 "On the System and Structure of the Federal Executive Bodies". Rosregistratsiya is a federal body of executive power, performing functions in the sphere of state registration of rights to real estate and transactions with it. By Decree of the President of December 25, 2008, N 1847 received a new name, a transitional period is envisaged for the transfer to it of the functions and powers of the abolished Federal Real Estate Cadastre Agency (Rosnedvizhimost) and the Federal Agency for Geodesy and Cartography (Roskartografiya). Since March 1, 2009, the transition period has been completed. The powers of Rosregistration include the functions of organizing a unified system of state cadastral registration of real estate, state registration of rights to real estate and transactions with it, as well as spatial data infrastructure of the Russian Federation. Rosregistration is subordinated to the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, earlier to the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation (by the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation No. 724 of 12.05.08 "Issues of the System and Structure of Federal Executive Bodies").
