Revised data for the period 1973-2009.To present a consistent table, with many details and as few as possible unknown informations, our dataset on livebirth has been revised for the period after 1973 Information on mothers residence and age has been calculated at the tim of birth. Information that was not reported at birth has been supplemented by information collected at a later point in time For instance. Normally we asume that missing info on mothers place of birth means that the mother was not born in Greenland. In this revision we have sought to minimize the missing data by looking up the missing info at a later point in time. All addresses has been converted to a localitycode, as defined by www.Asiaq.gl in 2009 In previously published figures a number of livebirths has been counted twice. This has been corrected Previously we also had mothers and babies without an identification number. This has also been corrected from other of our population registers In 1990 and in the period 1994-2005 the number of livebirths has been reduced by 71 mothers age Age has been calculated as the difference in years between the birthdate of the mother and child Mothers under the age of 14 is counted as 14-year old, and mothers over the age of 49 is calculates as 49 time 2015 Final figures

Children units is a calculated variable, which is based on the legislation for the preschool institutions. The legislation states that their can be up to 12 children in a nurserygroup (0-2 years), and 20 children in a childcaregroup (3-6 years). A nursery child is thereby defined as 1.67 units of a childcare child. Pedagogues of staff is the percentage that pedagogues relative to the overall childcaring staff. The childcaring staff is defined as the pedagogues, the pedagogical educated staff and the childcare workers. The managers, the kitchen and cleaning workers are not defined as childcaring staff. Children per staff ratio, is calculated as the children units divided by the child caring staff. Coverage of children 0-5 years, is the coverage of all children in the selected variables which are enrolled in a public preschool. Difference in staff total number by level, is due to decimal rounding. A correction has been made on the coverage rate of children on municipalities and districts on the 5th of July 2016

The table is based on municipal records from local labor offices of citizens who sign up as job seekers. Due to changes in recording practices and laws (including retirement age) should comparisons over time be made with caution. Records before 2010 only covers towns. Hence there are no data for settlements and for all places of residences (towns and settlements) before 2010.

Registered motor vehicles per. 1 January. From 2014 construction machineries, trailers and snowmobiles are also registret. In 2005 and 2006 it is not possible to allocate vehicles by ownership. Note that there is a data-break in the figures from 2004 to 2007. The data-break is due to the fact that ownership in the earlier studies were exclusively determined by whether vehicles were registered to a social security number or to a company registration number. Most motor vehicles, both in the past and in the present are primarily registered to a social security numbers. But now it is possible to associate a business branch to the CPR-registered vehicles. which in reality primarily is used commercially. The revised methodology has resulted in a data break - but gives a more correct review of the motor vehicle used by private households and businesses.
