As of 2016, CO2 emissions from solid fuel consumption in China was 6.95 million kt that accounts for 50.42% of the world's CO2 emissions from solid fuel consumption. The top 5 countries (others are India, the United States of America, Russian Federation, and Japan) account for 77.36% of it. The world's total CO2 emissions from solid fuel consumption was estimated at 13.8 million kt in 2016.
