Number of beds in hospitals

Tamil Nadu is the top region by number of beds in hospitals in India. As of 2016, number of beds in hospitals in Tamil Nadu was 58,258 that accounts for 16.78% of India's number of beds in hospitals. The top 5 regions (others are Karnataka, Gujarat, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh) account for 57.79% of it. India's total number of beds in hospitals was estimated at 347,224 in 2016.
