Baku city is the top region by goods transportation by motor transport in Azerbaijan. As of 2012, goods transportation by motor transport in Baku city was 48,319 thousand tons that accounts for 41.56% of Azerbaijan's goods transportation by motor transport. The top 5 regions (others are Aran, Nakhchivan, Ganja-Gazakh, and Shaki-Zagatala) account for 83.60% of it. Azerbaijan's total goods transportation by motor transport was estimated at 116,273 thousand tons in 2012.
