Number of employees

Baku city is the top region by number of employees in Azerbaijan. As of 2012, number of employees in Baku city was 661 thousand persons that accounts for 44.66% of Azerbaijan's number of employees. The top 5 regions (others are Aran, Ganja-Gazakh, Nakhchivan, and Absheron) account for 80.79% of it. Azerbaijan's total number of employees was estimated at 1,481 thousand persons in 2012.
