Bishkek is the top region by number of professional theaters in Kyrgyzstan. As of 2009, number of professional theaters in Bishkek was 8 that accounts for 38.10% of Kyrgyzstan's number of professional theaters. The top 5 regions (others are Jalal-Abad, Osh city, Naryn, and Ysyk-Kol) account for 85.71% of it. Kyrgyzstan's total number of professional theaters was estimated at 21 in 2009.
