Bhutan and India are not the only countries with high burden: actually, all South Asian countries and many countries from Southeast Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa are in the resembling situation. Concerning Western Europe, here France is the top country by average number of snakebites: 1700 cases occur here each year. This number is almost twice as little as in the United States and three times as big as in Russia.
