The FAO Food Price Index is a measure of the monthly change in international prices of a basket of food commodities. It consists of the average of five commodity group price indices, weighted with the average export shares of each of the groups for 2002-2004. Monthly release dates for 2017: 12 January, 02 February, 02 March, 06 April, 04 May, 08 June, 06 July, 03 August, 07 September, 05 October, 02 November, 07 December.
