Suicide is the 3rd leading cause of death in the world

Over 800,000 people die due to suicide every year and there are many more who attempt suicide. Hence, many millions of people are affected or experience suicide bereavement every year. There is one death by suicide in the world every 40 seconds. Suicide is the 3rd leading cause of death in the world for those aged 15-44 years.
