Merchandise Exports and Imports in Russia

  • Russia’s merchandise export contracted 9.29 percent YoY to US$ 35040 million in September compared to 9.68 percent decline in August 2019.
  • Meanwhile, imports expanded 5.55 percent YoY to US$ 20892 million in September compared to 0.76 percent in August 2019.
  • As a result, the trade balance increased to US$ 14148 million in September from US$ 12006 million in August 2019.
