BQ tracks over 30 million public and private companies operating in the United States, consisting of all legal entities that file taxes and have one or more employees. Our data dates back to 2010 for most fields, with financials dating back to 2015.
Collection Methodology 
Leveraging the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), BQ has obtained permission to collect data directly from official government sources, including the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), Department of Labor (DOL), Securities Exchange Commission (SEC), Small Business Administration (SBA) and United States Postal Service (USPS).
