National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI) is to satisfy the Oman government's need of official statistics and reliable information to be used in setting policies and programs on local, regional and international levels; taking into consideration the accelerating economic and social variables. NCSI also seek to satisfy the needs of all authorities in acquiring data in all areas of development.

The statistics are available on national level as well as the first administrative level at the time of the survey. Note that the current administrative level of the country has changed since 2011.
