Aran is the top region by poultry in Azerbaijan. As of 2012, poultry in Aran was 9.41 million heads that accounts for 41.47% of Azerbaijan's poultry. The top 5 regions (others are Guba-Khachmaz, Ganja-Gazakh, Absheron, and Shaki-Zagatala) account for 83.94% of it. Azerbaijan's total poultry was estimated at 22.7 million heads in 2012.
