Amount of waste generated

Castilla y León is the top region by amount of waste generated in Spain. As of 2010, amount of waste generated in Castilla y León was 29.4 million tonnes that accounts for 58.22% of Spain's amount of waste generated. The top 5 regions (others are Cataluña, Andalucía, Galicia, and Comunidad Valenciana) account for 79.59% of it. Spain's total amount of waste generated was estimated at 50.6 million tonnes in 2010.
