Area under Fallow

Mainland is the top region by area under fallow in the United Republic of Tanzania. As of 2012, area under fallow in Mainland was 1.6 million ha that accounts for 49.89% of the United Republic of Tanzania's area under fallow. The top 5 regions (others are Tabora Region, Ruvuma Region, Rukwa Region, and Iringa Region) account for 69.43% of it. The United Republic of Tanzania's total area under fallow was estimated at 3.2 million ha in 2012.
