According to the major international agencies including IMF, EC and OECD, unemployment rate in Australia reached 5.7% in 2016 and started to decrease in 2017 and 2018. 

EC and OECD predict further fall of the unemployment rate in Australia until 2020 while IMF expects it to reach 4.8% in 2019 and then remain stable until 2024.
