It is not a secret that many countries are still familiar with the problem of poverty nowadays. Some African countries such as Zimbabwe, Zambia, Democratic Republic of the Congo, etc. are regarded among the poorest countries in the world. Poverty is known as one of the most significant factors that contribute to crime, thus the crime rate in African countries seems to be very high.

Looking at the details, as regards Honduras, the homicide rate in this country is the highest among countries presented on the page. Furthermore, it is found, that poverty headcount ratio at national poverty line for Honduras is one of the highest.
